Great Migrations
Nature is a complex and crazy system, and National Geographic is constantly breaking this system down for those curious about the world around them. In 2010 they tackled one of the most mysterious and amazing events on the globe, the migration patterns of key creatures in their ecosystems. At EXC we witness this miracle daily as our peeps migrate from their chairs to the Foosball table and back.
Working under the mad interactive gurus at Neo-Pangea, we were stoked to be able to put our mograph/editing skills to good use. The video was created as a promo for the companion game to National Geographic’s TV event, Great Migrations. We cobbled together stock footage from the show and 3D models from the game, and then topped it off with some Element X Creative motion graphic zing! We also recorded tons of game-play footage for use in the edit as well…. all in the name of research of course.
